Looking for something fun to do outside of Toronto? Join our SAVAC Community Field Trip! We’re thrilled to offer a day trip to four amazing exhibitions by artists of colour across the GTHA. We will travel by school bus from Toronto to Brampton and Hamilton to visit the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA), and Art Gallery of Hamilton (AGH). This is a free event, but registration is required.

Accessibility: The school bus has 4-5 steps up. All tour stops are fully accessible. Masks are required on the bus and will be provided. Free admission to all galleries is included. A simple lunch will be provided. 

Schedule:

10:00am – Meet at the Queen’s Park entrance to the ROM (closest subway stop is Museum Station)

10:00-10:50 – Being and Belonging: Contemporary Women Artists from the Islamic World and Beyond

11:05-11:40 – When I grow up I want to be a namer of paint colours

12:50-1:25 – ਸ਼ੀਸ਼ੇ ‘ਚ ਤਰੇੜ | sheeshe ‘ch thareṛ | a crack in the mirror

1:25-1:55 – Lunch

2:50-3:30 – میں اپنی ماں کی بیٹی ہوں ….. I am my mother’s daughter

5:00pm – Drop off at the ROM
