Writer

Marina Fathalla is a cross-disciplinary artist and writer currently based in Toronto. Her projects are fueled by a particular sensitivity to site, at the intersection of its poetics and its politics. She explores modes of preserving land history, and strategies for preservation in museum contexts. Her upcoming project titled Land Reform is a publication examining the history of agrarian land reform in Egypt, and explores the nuances around the value of land through the lens of  tourism and thedesert as a spiritual landscape.
