How to Get a Project Grant

20 Aug 2014
401 Richmond St. W (4th floor) Toronto

The Toronto Arts Council supports visual and media artists for time-limited projects, covering costs related to creation/production, subsistence, and materials. In this free workshop/discussion, Peter Kingstone (Toronto Arts Council’s Visual/Media Arts Officer) will guide you through the necessary steps to get a grant, including tips and strategies for incorporating storytelling, knowing your audience, articulating your trajectory, and providing effective documentation. This will be followed by an informal discussion on what is needed for a grant, addressing specific questions on difficulties that might arise when translating work to a jury.

Participants will also have the opportunity to schedule one-on-one sessions with Peter, to go over project ideas and proposals.

This session is free and open to everyone, but space is limited. Register here
